The Hobart AirForce® 27i Plasma Cutter With Multi-Voltage Plug is an economical plasma cutter system for all conductive metals. Inverter-based design and reliable technology pack a lot of performance into a very portable package. The AirForce 27i features a multi-voltage plug (MVP) that allows a user to connect to common 120V or 240V power receptacles. The XT series torch and long life XT tips and electrodes provide added performance to an already exceptional plasma cutter. Plasma cutters cut faster and more precisely with a thinner kerf and less slag than cutting with oxy fuel. A smaller heat-affected zone also causes less warping. And you’ll never have gas pressure settings, flame tuning, metal preheating or gas cylinders or refills to worry about.

  • Clean cuts 3/8in. mild steel; severs steel up to 5/8in. thick
  • XT30R torch is designed for increased comfort with an ergonomic trigger safety, more efficient cooling and economical replacement cutting tips
  • Wind Tunnel Technology™ prevents abrasive dust and particles from damaging internal components
  • Fan-On-Demand™ cooling system operates only when needed, reducing power consumption and contaminants drawn into the machine
  • Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuitry draws up to 30% less amperage for the same cutting range when compared to the competition, expanding an operator's work area via extension cord, while minimizing nuisance circuit breaker trips caused by voltage drops
  • Internal gas/air filter and regulator controls the amount of usage and flow, or air or gas
  • Starts without high frequency protecting the unit by not interfering with or damaging controls or computers
  • Diagnostics LED lights for quick troubleshooting of pressure, power and cup situations
  • Postflow cooling circuit extends the life of consumables and torch by cooling them with postflow air after the trigger is released
  • Compatible with engine-driven welders, delivering complete cutting capability when powered by an engine-driven welder/generator with 240V receptacle of 4 kW or more
  • LVC™ line voltage compensation provides peak performance power under variable input voltage conditions (+/- 15%) for steady and cleaner-ending cuts
